Creating a new URL

Users who have been assigned permission to create URLs for their Organization (see User Profile) have access to the Add URL functionality in the URL List.

URL names must be unique within the Organization. For this reason, users who are able to create URLs are able to see the names of other URLs in their Organization even if they do not have permission to view the contents of those URLs.

An TrialGrid URL does not have to match the name of a Rave URL but it is often convenient to use the same name so that it is clear that the Projects and Drafts in the TrialGrid URL mirror those in the Medidata Rave URL.

You may enter the Medidata Rave URL address (e.g. https://innovate.mdsol.com) and select a Rave version from the list of Rave versions but this data is optional and for information only.

You may also select another TrialGrid URL you have access to in order to copy across setup information from that URL. This is convenient when you want to use the same Project Role Definitions, Labels and other configuration from another URL.

Editing a URL

Users who have been assigned the Manage permission for their URL have the ability to edit the details for the URL. This includes changing the name of the URL so long as the name of the URL is unique within the Organization.

Sections within the URL Editor

The URL Editor is split into a number of tabs

URL Properties

This tab contains the name of the URL and the name of the related Medidata Rave URL (e.g. https://www.company.mdsol.com)

Standards Compliance Configuration

The controls on this tab allow Standards Compliance reporting to be switched on or off for object types. For example, if you do not wish to see compliance metrics for Custom Functions then this functionality can be switched off here.

By default all objects are switched on.

Note that this is a URL-wide setting so if compliance reporting is switched off for an object then it is switched off for all objects within all Drafts and Projects in this URL.

Compliance calculations will continue to be performed for objects even if they are switched off but reporting will be limited to only those which are switched on.

See Standard Libraries for more information about Standards Compliance calculations and reporting.

Automated Test Configuration

This tab contains defaults for running Automated Tests such as the UAT Study Name, Environment, Site and Subject.

See Automated Testing for more about Automated Tests and settings.

Test Case Advisor Configuration

This tab contains defaults for the Test Case Advisor such as the default EDC Role used to enter data for tests and the test subject name format.

See Automated Testing for more about Automated Tests and Test Case Advisor settings.
